q3map version 2....

Postby PooP » Wed Jan 08, 2003 12:58 am

The latest GTK release contains a new version of q3map, "q3map2".

It fixes alot of problems that the old q3map had. My phantom brush dissapearances for instance.. Good new Pheonix!!! :)

the number one thing tho, is it's MASSIVE improvement with lighting. It does multiple passes for different things (none of which I've researched yet). But you can tell the difference in the maps. Whew, the shadows / lighting look AMAZING. Almost a UT quality.

go get it!

This isn't radiant right? I'm used to radiant so I'm thinking there'd be a considerable learning curve.

Okay okay I'll have to teach myself all over again I'm thinking. Prepare some links for me where I can get this crap.

We gotta do the MOB map. Although we cant make it better than my DR map :xeno:

Bah I find out by EMAIL from PooPers that we've been commissioned for an LGL map. No one tells me these things. I've had all break to plan maps and now I find out just as my break is coming to an end...

lol ya radient is dead its a piece of crap. Hehe, good to hear, but I don't have any of dem der phantom brushes yet, even with the rocks in that one room. Instead I get a textured wall turning black when compiled.
